Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit supply teachers to work in local Primary Schools in Newport!
If you are a teacher looking for a more flexible work life, a supply role is the perfect opportunity to work when it best suits you. In a supply teacher role, the teacher has the option to decide what year groups they wish to work in and what days they work, whether that be 1 or 5 days per week. The supply teacher will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the full-time teacher or on a part-time basis. A supply role could give the teacher the opportunity to work in an array of schools, building positive relationships and gaining experience across multiple age groups.
Ideal Supply Teacher:
The ideal Supply Teacher will need to be reliable and enthusiastic to ensure lessons are engaging and follow the Welsh Curriculum. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable to fit with the needs of local Primary Schools in Newport, with the ability to build effective relationships with the children to ensure they are progressing as expected and learning in a positive environment. There may be instances where work opportunities come at short notice, therefore it is beneficial that the teacher is prepared for a call on the day they are available to work. The role could suit the needs of both Newly Qualified and Experienced Teachers who are looking for a role that can be tailored to their needs.
Requirements Criteria:
* Enhanced DBS (child only) checks must be complete before the role will commence.
* EWC registration – mandatory requirement in Wales.
* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
