Internal sales engineer

Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Executive required to join a leading engineering supplier based in Sheffield.


The successful candidate shall be responsible for technical advice, generating quotations, order processing, expediting, documentation, proposals, and other aspects of customer service for Process Instrumentation, valves, and control.


The ideal candidate will come from a sales or mechanical engineering background and have a willingness to succeed within a reputable distributor. Full training is provided.

Role Responsibilities

1. Provide technical advice, generate quotations, order processing, expediting, documentation, proposals, and customer service for Process Instrumentation, valves, and control.
2. Provide technical support and cover to other Sales Engineers and all aspects of customer services.
3. Learn all aspects of administration including order processing, invoicing, and checking order confirmations.
4. Product specification plus after sales and service support of mechanical engineering-related products.
5. Liaise with various engineering departments.
6. Must be commutable to the office daily in Sheffield.



Requirements

1. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering distributor.
2. Experience in any sales, customer service, or technical background associated with mechanical engineering is beneficial but not a must.
3. Full training is provided; however, previous experience selling a mechanical engineering product is beneficial.
4. Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Support Engineer, Engineering Administrator, Contracts Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Executive, Technical Sales Advisor, or similar customer service position within mechanical engineering.
5. Service Engineers / Mechanical Engineers looking for a sales role are encouraged to apply.
6. Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or Degree in engineering is beneficial.
7. Must be commutable to the office in Sheffield or willing to relocate.
