We are recruiting a passionate, motivated, knowledgeable, and experienced Registered Manager to lead and further develop our team at Osmington House. Osmington House is outside of Weymouth. It is a Solo Placement home for one Child aged 6 – 11 on admission who has experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a range of developmental traumas. As a registered manager, you will be responsible for the home's day-to-day running and the development of the established team. Using our Attachment and Trauma-Informed Care (ATIC) model, you will lead a dedicated team in a culture where children are respected, heard, and involved in their own lives. You will understand therapeutic parenting principles well and be committed to achieving outstanding outcomes. We are looking for a committed and dedicated Registered Manager to join our Five Rivers family. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with children, enjoy play & adventure and be someone full of empathy so you can understand and relate to the children you work with, providing them with a home full of love where they can grow, learn and thrive before moving on to a forever family. We are not a forever home; we are a mid-term home where children stay for at least two years – enabling them to work through their previous traumas, learn to label, understand, and express their emotions and gain the confidence to explore the world around them. Our leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the residential childcare sector. We source and deliver engaging, up-to-date training opportunities and prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you get the most out of your career. You will need to have at least three years of experience in management roles in a children’s residential setting, hold or be willing to work towards level 5 in leadership and management, and have a minimum level 3 residential childcare qualification. You should also have a proven track record with Ofsted and a sound understanding of the legislative framework surrounding residential childcare.
