At The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, we make a real difference in supporting people with their everyday lives. We have an exciting opportunity as a Support Practitioner for our Housing Support service in Dennistoun on a full-time basis (39 hours per week).
Due to the nature of the role, we can only accept female applicants.
You don’t need previous experience in care, as we recruit on values and transferable skills. We provide full training along with the opportunity for you to complete your SVQ.
The role:
Housing Support Dennistoun is a 24-hour service that supports people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Our supported individuals require assistance with personal care, administering medication, and social outings.
You will support the individuals on an outcome-based programme which will see them grow in confidence and learn life skills to increase their independence. You’ll take an active interest in their hobbies, such as going out for walks, attending social clubs, volunteering, and shopping. With your help, you’ll enable the individuals to explore new opportunities and reduce social isolation.
To be a Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:
* Have an empathetic and caring nature
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Be confident in using computers
* Work well in a team environment and independently
* Exhibit good organisational skills

Our dedicated team provides tailored support 24/7, and shift patterns include days, evenings, night shifts, weekends, and bank/public holidays.
