We are looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance to the buildings and associated services and to assist with minor project works for the estates department across the whole diverse building portfolio in and around Stratford-upon-Avon.
Reporting to the Estates Engineering Supervisor, key responsibilities will include:
1. Attending breakdowns and carrying out programmed repairs.
2. Working in accordance with all relevant health and safety legislation, codes of practice and company procedures.
3. Assisting with project work, installing new plumbing systems and services.
4. Always adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Taking responsibility for tasks and reactive repairs to ensure they are progressed to completion efficiently and within agreed time frames.
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
1. Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
2. Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements.
3. Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding and work in confined spaces and in a variety of work conditions.
4. Be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
5. Excellent communicator at all levels.
6. A team player.
7. Self-motivated and proactive able to work with minimum supervision.
This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A flexible approach is required for the purposes of occasional overtime, to cover absence and annual leave as the business requires. The role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon with occasional travel to our London locations.
