Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and departmental goals. Support and mentor Geography teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development. Play a key role in the recruitment, performance management, and observation of Geography department staff. Oversee the effective use of resources and facilities to enhance the Geography learning experience. Develop and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that inspire students and promote a love of learning. Track and monitor student progress, analyzing data and implementing strategies to raise attainment in Geography. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. Contribute to the wider leadership team of the school, supporting the overall vision and educational goals. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Geography Teacher with a minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience, including significant leadership experience within a secondary school setting. A proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes in Geography. Excellent subject knowledge, a passion for Geography, and a commitment to innovative teaching methods. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and collaborate with colleagues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
