My client is a world-renowned packaging company and is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work with a strong team of maintenance engineers. As part of the team of you will provide planned and reactive maintenance of production lines and plant equipment.
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
£45,000 - £53,518
Northampton
Shift Pattern – 4 on 4 off – (6AM – 6PM) & (6PM-6AM)
Repeated for 7 sets and this will be followed by 18 days off.

Responsibilities include
Be able to read electrical diagrams to re - wire and wire, deal with repair and replace single phase and three phase motors.
You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets.
You will be required to work on some mechanical issues including pneumatics work,
You will be able to replace and repair invertors, relays, AC & DC 3 phase motor Drives.
Commissioning of new machinery, Breakdowns, service & installation
You will be able to read as well as understand electrical diagrams and schematics, dealing with any electrical circuits, wiring or re wiring.
Understanding and dealing with the replacement of ethernet cables and dealing with 415vlt machinery.
Essential:
Strong customer service skills
Must be comfortable with big machinery.
Experience of packaging, fmcg, industrial or another manufacturing industry.
Must be able to understand electrical diagrams, deal with single phase and three phase motors.
Have a good understanding of invertors, relays, and fault finding
Some experience or understanding of either pneumatics or hydraulics.
Strong Electrical background with mechanical experience.
A related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar
A HNC, HND, Level 3 or a 1–2-year City & Guilds qualification is also welcome.
