Job Summary: The individual in this role will deliver a full range of administrative and receptionist support to the department. This includes scheduling appointments using computerized systems based on established policies and procedures, managing file organization, and entering data needed for audits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Use of manual and computerized systems including PAS, Bluespier, EZ notes, Sunrise to:
1. Maintain and check patient registration details and demographic information.
2. Retrieve patient information.
3. Record the issue and receipt of records on the PAS case note tracking system.
4. Check EZ notes and ensure they are available for planned TCIs.
5. Maintain patient EZ notes folders by:
1. Filing reports / correspondence / forms etc. in an ordered manner, to facilitate the efficient retrieval of such documentation on request.
2. Repairing case notes folders.
3. Making up new folders and registering patients.
4. Ordering stationary supplies when required.
5. Inputting data for audits.
Working Relationships:
Internal: Consultants and junior medical staff, Nurse Practitioners, other hospital staff both within the department and outside, other healthcare professionals, medical secretaries, health records staff, PALS.
External: GP surgeries, other hospitals, patients and relatives / carers.
Risk Assessment:
This post involves handling medical notes and VDU work. Individuals may be exposed to violence and aggression.
