We are currently recruiting for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our client’s growing business. As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments of water systems to identify and mitigate the risk of Legionella bacteria. Your role is essential in helping clients maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and ensuring the safety of their water systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Risk Assessments: Conduct detailed Legionella risk assessments on a variety of water systems, including domestic, commercial, and industrial settings.
2. Survey and Inspection: Perform thorough surveys and inspections of water systems to identify potential sources of Legionella risk.
3. Report Writing: Produce clear, concise, and detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for corrective actions.
4. Compliance: Ensure all assessments and documentation comply with current legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, and the HSE’s Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8.
5. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on maintaining Legionella control measures.
6. Follow-up: Conduct follow-up visits and reviews to ensure recommended actions have been implemented and are effective.
7. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Person Profile:
8. Experience: Previous experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a similar water hygiene role is essential.
9. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Legionella control and prevention, relevant legislation, and industry guidelines.
10. Skills: Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
11. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in conducting assessments and producing reports.
12. Qualifications: Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification is desirable.
13. Driving Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
14. Flexibility: Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
