About the role
As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in scoping AI projects and translating research findings into actionable technical requirements. You will work closely with project technology leads and solution architects to gather insights and convert them into comprehensive solution diagrams, resource requirements, and build road maps. Your ability to understand and communicate complex AI concepts will be essential in bridging the gap between research and implementation.
Requirements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and interpret research findings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in documentation tools such as LaTeX, Microsoft Office, and Confluence for creating technical reports and project documentation.
* Experience using diagramming and visualization tools such as Draw.io, Lucidchart, Miro, and Lucidspark for creating, editing, and reviewing solution diagrams and architecture overviews.
* Familiarity with Python programming language for data analysis and prototyping.
* Knowledge of Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks and their applications.
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise requirements and specifications.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
* BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
It would also be a bonus if you have experience of the following:
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role, working on AI or software development projects.
* Experience in agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud, and their AI services.
* Knowledge of software architecture patterns and best practices for designing scalable and maintainable systems.
* Experience with data visualization libraries, such as Matplotlib or Seaborn, for creating insightful visualizations.
* Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborating on project documentation and code.

* A basic salary of £40,000 - £70,000 GBP (based on experience)
