About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs Service Manager to lead the effective and efficient management, coordination, development, and promotion of Rotherham’s Library Service. The postholder will oversee 15 library sites, including one community-managed site, ensuring they serve as vibrant hubs that meet local needs. This role will also include the management of the Home Library Service and the Schools Library Service. Key Responsibilities:- Service Delivery: Ensure the effective delivery and promotion of the Rotherham Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs service, including frontline services and facilities. Creative Programming: Lead the development of engaging programmes, events, and festivals that cater to diverse audiences, in alignment with local and national initiatives. Audience Development: Create and implement targeted learning programmes that support varied communities of interest, including older adults, children and young people, and individuals requiring additional support. Collection Management: Oversee the management of the library collection, including procurement and allocation of book stock, to meet current and future customer needs. Digital Services: Develop and enhance online services to expand access and engagement. Strategic Implementation: Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and action plans, ensuring alignment with community needs and national standards. Partnership Building: Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community through consultations and collaborative initiatives. Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively, generate income, and prepare external funding applications to support library initiatives. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to designated teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery and addressing learning and development needs. Performance Monitoring: Manage and monitor performance against service levels, quality standards, and national performance indicators. Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with service development and delivery, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits. Qualifications and Experience:- Level 7 qualification with extensive experience in the relevant specialist area and other related areas of work, or a wider range of areas or evidence of the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
