Studio Paskin is a collection of award-winning venues across Central London that exemplify elegance, quality, and heartfelt hospitality. With multiple iconic sites including our newest, The Barbary Notting Hill, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure our high standards of excellence extend to the very infrastructure that keeps our spaces running smoothly.
If you're an experienced maintenance professional or handyman/person with a keen eye for detail, a hands-on and resourceful approach to problem-solving, and a passion for keeping things running like clockwork, this could be the role for you.
You will:
1. Proactively manage and respond to maintenance and repair requests across all Studio Paskin venues. These are high volume restaurant environments and experience with plumbing, carpentry, painting, mastic work and basic decoration is essential.
2. As the sites are open to the public from midday, majority of site works will need to take place in the morning.
3. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that all facilities are operating efficiently, economically and safely.
4. Take responsibility for troubleshooting and an active role in resolving issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building infrastructure.
5. Implement preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and systems, using tools like the MaintainX platform. Get to a point where SOPs and documentation is being stored digitally.
6. Respond to problems, determine if they can be resolved in house and coordinate with external contractors and Operations team to oversee specialized repairs when necessary.
Skills & experience:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance department, as a contractor (as an engineer, handyman/person or technician) or in a related field.
2. Proven expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
4. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders including guests, staff and external contractors.
5. Relevant certifications in maintenance areas are a plus, but hands-on experience is invaluable.
6. Applicants holding a valid UK driving licence are desirable.
