We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Management team at Hinkley Point C within the Equipment Programme.
The Equipment Programme plays a vital role in delivering the mechanical, electrical, and process equipment that will power the station. Working closely with NNB's global supply chain, you'll help manage contracts ranging from £250k to £150m, covering everything from discrete components to complete systems. With input design provided by EDF's Responsible Designer and detailed design completed by the equipment suppliers, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a world-class nuclear project.

Are you an experienced Assistant Project Manager with extensive Delivery of Equipment knowledge? Do you have strong organisational skills with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you the type of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment? You will hold a degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics, or a related field. A strong Project Management background, with experience applying APM Body of Knowledge or OGC's PRINCE2 principles, is essential. You'll need a proven track record of delivering projects in technically complex and regulated environments, such as the nuclear energy sector. Expertise in engineering design, contract execution strategies, EPCM project delivery, procurement, and contract management, with a strong focus on cost control, risk management, scheduling, and change management using Earned Value tools, is required.
Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills are key, as is experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors on large-scale construction projects under NEC or FIDIC contracts. You should be adept at financial and change management, with excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. A detailed understanding of PWR design and operations is advantageous, as is a working knowledge of French. Familiarity with CDM Regulations is also desirable.

What you'll be doing
You will play a key role in managing contracts and work packages for critical equipment such as tanks, filters, ventilation stacks, pumps, and valves. You'll be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of these components, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and commercial requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, internationally connected environment, collaborating with teams across multiple disciplines to drive project success.
Your responsibilities will include leading a matrix team with regular international travel. You will engage directly with EDF teams in France, key Hinkley Point C stakeholders, and equipment suppliers, managing contract values ranging from £250k to £150m. A strong focus on design change management, financial governance, and contract control will be essential to ensuring project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
