About the Role: As Head of Office / Managing Director, you will take the reins of a well-established insurance brokerage, overseeing all aspects of the business, including strategy, operations, financial management, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities: P&L Accountability: Full responsibility for the profit and loss, ensuring financial targets are met while driving operational efficiencies and business growth. Leadership & Strategy: Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing direction, mentorship, and clear strategic vision. Shape and implement business strategy to drive performance. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and enhance the brokerage’s market position within the North West and beyond. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and compliance across all areas of the business. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and industry partners, to build strong relationships and grow the company’s market presence. Team Development: Drive employee engagement, develop talent, and ensure a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the organisation. About You: A proven leader with substantial experience in the insurance broking industry, ideally in a senior management or director-level role. Strong track record of P&L management and delivering profitable business outcomes. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making. A self-motivated, results-driven leader capable of motivating teams and driving operational excellence. Experience in developing and executing business growth strategies, ideally in a competitive market.
