They’re expanding their team to meet the growing demand in the property sector and are looking for a Senior Drainage Consultant to drive their drainage design projects and business development. You’ll be involved in technical aspects of drainage design, client management, and contributing to the company's commercial growth. Key Responsibilities: Drainage Design: Prepare and review comprehensive drainage strategies, calculations, and technical drawings. Technical Leadership: Oversee the technical output of the team, review reports, and provide training and support to junior consultants. Business Development: Play an active role in developing new client relationships and achieving revenue targets for drainage services. Client & Regulatory Engagement: Manage client accounts, attend meetings, and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. Project Management: Prepare proposals, manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Required Qualifications and Experience: Education: Degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, environmental science, or sustainable drainage. Experience: Minimum of five years in drainage design, ideally in a consultancy role or with a local authority. Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software and surface water modeling tools (e.g., Microdrainage, Causeway Flow). In-depth knowledge of sustainable drainage principles and foul drainage systems. Experience in preparing SuDS management and maintenance plans. Competencies: Strong understanding of drainage requirements for property development. Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the company in client meetings. Proven project management skills and a track record of technical report writing.
