Main Purpose of the job: To be the focal point of the surgery and to act as a liaison between patients, clinicians and other members of the practice team, and to provide a high standard of customer services at all times. The candidate will: Ensure the smooth running of the reception and prioritise workload as appropriate. Answer telephone enquiries in a prompt, efficient and helpful manner. Will liaise with hospitals and other outside agencies regarding appointments, missing hospital correspondence and test results. Deal with enquiries from patients professionally and sympathetically. Will request prescriptions and complete administrative tasks. Will provide additional administrative support to the practice as required.
