My client are a dynamic and diverse rural estate, who operate at the forefront of modern land management techniques with a firm respect and affection for the history of the land.
We are recruiting for the position of Executive Assistant to the Managing Director and Business Owner.
This role will work side-by-side with our MD and demands a high level of professionalism at all levels. It involves liaison with a wide range of people internally and externally, as well as participation in various business and family governance, management, and financial matters. In all cases, the role calls for a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and emotional intelligence to approach situations appropriately.
This role is 100% office based in the well equipped and comfortable offices on site, based 10 minutes north of Hertford. You will need to be able to drive and have your own transport to both reach the location and to travel around the estate.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm. Part time hours can be considered, with a minimum of 30 hours over 5 days required.
Salary: c. £45,000 to £50,000, pro rata, depending upon your experience.

On a day to day basis you will be dealing with the following:
General Communications
Fielding calls and emails from colleagues, suppliers, clients and contacts, ensuring that a high level of contact is maintained.
Diary Management
Ensuring that the needs of the business are met with the MD’s attendance at both internal and external appointments.
Meeting Preparation and Follow-up
Communicating with all attendees to circulate an agenda and action points, and ensuring actions are completed by all.
Monitoring
Keep track on all live projects and be in touch with key contributors to ensure things stay on track.
Document Management
Maintaining a high level of organisation and accessibility to important documents.
Operational
Overseeing and proactively working on both the H&S and compliance for each department.
Project Management
Carry out and complete projects as required by the business to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
