The Seminaries and Institutes of Religion purpose is to help youth and young adults to understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple; prepare themselves, their families, and others, for eternal life with their Father in Heaven. This position provides clerical and administrative support in seminary, institute, or coordination program. Responsibilities Processes information, written communications, support financial management, student registration, and record keeping and control functions. Completes special projects, generates and distributes reports. Schedules meetings and travel arrangements. Performs reception and phone answering duties; greets and assists with visitors. Operates office equipment and keeps inventory. Performs tasks simultaneously while exhibiting patience and understanding during inevitable interruptions. May perform specialized and less diverse clerical assignments such as budget and financial control, office coordination or event scheduling, as assigned. Attend the SAI office and work on site 2 days a week. Qualifications Strong commitment to the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints (applicant must be a member with a valid Temple recommend). Two years post High School education. Several years of proven experience in an administrative position. Computer skills and experience including Windows, Microsoft Applications and aptitude to learn other software applications as needed. Basic business accounting skills, including understanding of documents and the allocation of expenditures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both written and verbal. Organizational skills including: filling, scheduling, time management and prioritization. Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with all individuals, including priesthood leaders, managers, fellow employees and vendors.
