Outline of job role and purpose:
This is an exciting role within the Procurement function of the Finance and Procurement Unit (FPU). The role reports to the Senior Procurement Specialist and works closely with other members of Procurement as well as Courts & Tribunals staff to deliver efficient and compliant contracts throughout the estate.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting with the efficient delivery of the Procurement service, including governance, professional advice, support, guidance, training, and project administration. You will lead on procurement projects for SCTS varying in size and value and supporting all categories of spend.
Working with and influencing key senior stakeholders, you will drive the delivery of the Procurement Reform Programme, realise identifiable savings, contribute to the wider public sector economic and sustainability agenda, and play a key part in delivering a robust procurement service.
You will work across the organisation, sharing experience and input to the identification and deployment of best practice. You will be required to resolve complex issues when necessary to achieve outcomes, providing robust commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders and assurance levels of a high standard to support the management of key SCTS contracts and suppliers.
