Job Role:
1. Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach construction.
2. Planning and delivering engaging, practical, and creative lessons that inspire students.
3. Making full use of the school’s modern workshop facilities and extensive DT resources.
4. Encouraging students to develop practical skills in woodwork, metalwork, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and product design.
5. Supporting students with GCSE coursework, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
6. Working within a collaborative DT department, sharing best practices and ideas.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience teaching DT in a secondary school setting.
3. A passion for practical, hands-on learning and innovation in teaching.
4. Strong classroom management skills with a focus on student engagement.
5. The ability to work effectively within a high-performing team.
