Ty Bryngwyn Inpatient Hospice is a Specialist Palliative Care unit based on the Prince Phillip Hospital site in Llanelli. The unit provides inpatient care for complex Specialist Palliative Care patients requiring symptom control, management and wider MDT input. We are looking for a motivated enthusiastic individual with Palliative Care experience to join the team of dedicated nurses working within this speciality. This role is for a period of 12 months covering maternity leave. Main duties of the job This is an exciting opportunity for professional and personal development within these challenging and rewarding speciality. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable nurse who is willing to embrace this environment whilst being able to motivate and encourage other members of the team. The team is very dynamic, eager to learn and develop and supportive of each other. You will work with a nursing team, alongside consultants and the medical teams, various nurse specialists, physiotherapists and other members of the MDT to ensure a high standard of patient focused care. Ongoing training will be supported in relation to the care of patients within this speciality and the successful candidate will be expected to engaging in leadership for all aspects of patient care, staffing and service delivery. Experience in this role is desirable but not essential, full training will be provided for professional development.
