Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Location: Hertford
As Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms. You will ensure alignment with the company’s overall marketing strategy and drive growth initiatives to meet business goals. This role requires hands-on experience in website management, digital content creation, analytics, and social media engagement.

About you:
You will be a creative, data-driven marketer with the ability to manage and grow the digital presence of our events and media brands. You will have a solid understanding of SEO, website analytics, Google Analytics, and social media strategies, with a focus on driving measurable results through effective digital campaigns. A hands-on approach with website editing and content management is essential, along with a passion for mentoring junior team members and overseeing external agencies when necessary.
Responsibilities
1. Digital Strategy Ownership – Develop, implement, and optimise digital marketing strategies across all platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Website Analytics & Google Analytics – Track, analyse, and report on website performance and user behaviour to optimise marketing initiatives and improve conversion rates.
3. SEO & Website Optimization – Implement and monitor SEO strategies to drive organic traffic, improve search rankings, and enhance user experience.
4. Social Media Strategy – Manage and grow social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), ensuring content is engaging, brand-consistent, and aligned with marketing goals.
5. Content Creation & Campaign Execution – Develop high-quality digital content (blogs, emails, social posts) and coordinate campaigns to drive audience engagement and lead generation.
6. Team Support Website Management & Editing – Ability to update and maintain websites via CMS platforms (WordPress), ensuring SEO-friendly content and smooth functionality.
7. A/B Testing & Performance Optimization – Conduct A/B tests on email campaigns, landing pages, and paid ads to improve engagement and conversion rates.
8. Email Marketing & Automation – Plan, execute, and optimise email marketing campaigns, including automation, segmentation, and performance tracking.
9. Mentoring & Agency Oversight – Guide junior marketing team members and oversee external agencies for PPC, SEO, and content-related projects.
10. Media Partner Deliverables Management – Coordinate and ensure timely execution of media partner commitments, maximising ROI from these collaborations.
11. Marketing Collateral & Event Support – Oversee the development of promotional materials, event branding, and digital assets for in-person events.
Skills Required
1. Expertise in website analytics & Google Analytics to track performance and user behaviour.
2. Strong SEO knowledge to improve organic visibility and ranking.
3. Experience in social media marketing (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) with a focus on audience growth and engagement.
4. Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify) for website updates and optimisation.
5. Strong email marketing skills, including automation, segmentation, and A/B testing.
6. Experience in PPC campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads).
7. Strong data analysis & A/B testing skills to refine digital campaigns and optimise performance.
8. Experience in media partnerships deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met.
9. Ability to mentor team members and manage relationships with external agencies.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for content creation and marketing messaging.
11. Self-motivated with a proactive approach – able to take initiative, identify opportunities, and drive projects forward independently, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
