EMSOU-FS CSI are looking for a CSI Operations Manager, based primarily in Lincolnshire, to be part of our regional CSI Management Team, to help lead one of our crime scene investigation teams locally, whilst ensuring an effective local and regional service by maximising forensic opportunities to aid the investigative and criminal justice processes. You will already need to be a qualified Crime Scene Manager, and building upon those skills, knowledge, and experience, to be providing operational efficiency, specialist forensic, technical, and tactical advice, whilst ensuring the continuous improvement of current and future innovations. Being a strong and visible leader, you will provide Crime Scene Coordination for serious, complex, and major crime, ensuring the effective creation and delivery of crime scene examination strategies and forming part of the Forensic Management Team for major investigations. As part of being a line manager, you will provide support and development to the CSI team, identifying any career development opportunities and maintaining the standards within the department. As CSI are required to work to ISO 17020 in Incident Scene Examination, you will be part of driving forward accreditation in the region to ensure the CSI service meets the requirements of the Forensic Science Regulators Code of Practice.,
* To provide strong visible leadership to staff including appraisals, recruitment, training and development.
* To represent the East Midlands Region and EMSOU-FS at Regional and National meetings and conferences.
* To deliver and act upon management information in relation to effectiveness and performance through the production of reports, business cases and statistical data.
You must be a qualified and experienced CSI and Crime Scene Manager.
* You must have the proven ability to supervise, motivate and manage staff.
* You must hold a full UK driving licence, access to own transport for work purposes and the ability to pass the Police driving test for the CSI Fleet., Due to MV and SC requirements, you must have 5 years continuous residency in the UK.
