St Teresa’s R C Primary School are currently seeking a Caretaker. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site and to ensure all buildings and grounds are maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The site supervisor plays an important part in the smooth and efficient running of the school. The post holder will be expected to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of the school, combining planned and regular tasks with day-to-day needs and emergency responses.
We are seeking an individual who:
* Works well within our school family, demonstrating a practical and positive approach to challenges and a ‘can-do’ attitude that puts the children at the center of all our work.
* Carries out daily cleaning duties around the school including supervising and liaising with contract cleaners.
* Possesses the self-motivation to manage their time effectively, work independently, and continuously evaluate the needs of the school, prioritizing as appropriate.
* Has a keen eye for detail in order to maintain our school to the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness, taking pride in their work. This will include occasional painting, maintenance outside, and general repairs along with small-scale improvements and odd jobs.
* Has a good standard of Maths and English in order to maintain paperwork for annual, monthly, and weekly compliance checks.
* Acts as principal key holder and responds to occasional emergency ‘callouts’.
* Ensures security of the school premises and complies with all health and safety legal regulations.
* Coordinates and supervises contractors on site.
