Systemic Eating Disorder Family Therapist; Band 7
Sussex Family Eating Disorder Service are seeking to recruit a Band 7 Systemic Eating Disorder Family Therapist. SFEDS works with young people aged 10-18 with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Atypical Anorexia Nervosa and their families, to support recovery through Evidence Based Interventions such as Maudsley Family Therapy models, group work, and CBTE.
You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Service Manager, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing staff, Support Workers, Dietitian, and Social Workers with support from our administration team.
The Service provides interventions across East & West Sussex and Brighton and Hove.
Main duties of the job
As a Systemic Eating Disorder Family Therapist, you will:
1. Undertake assessments, diagnosis and deliver evidence-based treatment in accordance with NICE Guidelines.
2. Provide family intervention to support the recovery of young people suffering from Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa.
3. Manage a caseload and work with Tier 4 care providers and other internal/external services.
4. Support the wider MDT in training and understanding the systemic model.
5. Work autonomously and as part of the MDT in delivering a high-quality service in the community.
Requirements
* A Registered Mental Health Nurse OR Qualified Psychotherapist, Family Therapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist.
* Comfortable in providing intervention and treatment for young people with eating disorders.
* Experienced in working with people presenting with mental health problems.
It would also be advantageous if you have:
* Experience within an Eating Disorders team/service.
