Key Responsibilities: The role of Care Assistant can be varied day-to-day based on the person & their individual needs, but you may generally assist our customers with - Personal Care: Assisting customers with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Medication Assistance: Ensuring customers take their medications as prescribed and keeping accurate records of medication administration. Mobility Support: Helping customers move around their homes or in the community, using mobility aids if necessary. Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to the client's dietary requirements and preferences. Companionship: Providing emotional support, engaging in conversation, and participating in activities to alleviate loneliness and promote mental well-being. Transportation: Assisting clients with transportation to and from appointments, social activities, and errands. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the care provided, including any changes in the customers condition, medication administration, and daily activities. Promoting Independence : Encouraging and supporting clients to maintain their independence and autonomy as much as possible, while providing the necessary assistance. Qualifications: We value life experience over previous health care experience (though this can certainly be beneficial). So if you have past experience in customer facing roles (retail, hospitality, call handlers, beauticians, hairdressers etc) you may have the perfect interpersonal, communication skills that we are looking for Also, if you are a new parent and have a strong maternal side, you may the caring nature that would make you a perfect addition to our team. The basic entry requirements to meet our criteria would be - Applicants must drive and have regular access to their own car, as well as have the right to work in the UK via British Citizenship, dependents visa, student visa or settled status Applicants should be able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week (7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm shift patterns), and be flexible to work alternate weekends.
