Your role will be to create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries and to provide key support to existing and upcoming EC&I design work packages.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll have the following accountabilities:
1. Design LV electrical distribution systems.
2. Input into the design of control systems, SCADA and communication networks.
3. Create the following documentation: Specifications & Datasheets, Cable Calculations & Schedules, Drawings.
4. Review and check manufacturer documents & information for compliance with project specifications.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers.
Our client is looking for:
1. Experience working on mid-large scale construction projects in a ‘Design Engineer’ capacity, covering Electrical control & Instrumentation.
2. Ability in being able to come up with designs and take the lead on calculations.
3. Proficient in the use of Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign or similar.
4. Clear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers and project team members to deliver cost effective and acceptable design solutions.
5. Microsoft Office experience is essential including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
6. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clearly and succinctly.
7. Knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material.
8. Ideally hold experience in a broad range of heavy industries such as petrochemical, power and nuclear.
9. Please note that you must have a valid right to work in the UK.
10. Due to the nature of the projects, any interested candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
