Job Summary:
As a Business Development Manager for the Electrical Business Unit, you will play a vital role in the team, promoting our Interconnect-based franchised distribution and VAD capabilities, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with existing and new clients predominantly across the Aerospace and Defence sectors. The Business Development Manager position will be a key “customer facing” role, focused on identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships, and driving company revenue and profitability in line with Corporate goals.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic customer plans to achieve business objectives
* Identify new business opportunities and partnerships
* Build strong relationships with existing and potential clients and partners
* Lead and motivate a high-performing business development team
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of business goals
* Present business proposals to senior management and stakeholders
* Occasional overseas travel to customers and suppliers as necessary
Requirements:
* Proven sales and/or business development experience within harsh environment interconnect.
* Knowledge of our market and competitors
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Ability to be a key member of the Electrical team adding value and influence
* Tenacity and drive
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong project management and organizational skills
