We’re looking for a new team of Hygiene Skilled Operatives to join our team in Spalding, UK.
As the Hygiene Skilled Operative reporting into the Hygiene Shift Manager at Westfalia Fruit, your role will be to maintain hygiene standards in line with Technical & H&S standards, working between the three UK sites based in the Spalding area. With the Hygiene plan that has been set out, it allows for set days at each site to minimise travel between sites. As part of the role, you will be responsible for cleaning the production lines, floors using floor scrubbing equipment, high-level cleaning, and working in confined spaces.
Responsibilities Include:
* Ensure compliance with hygiene policies and regulations, including FSA, HSE, BRC, and customer standards.
* Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to maintain hygiene standards.
* Provide training and track KPIs to ensure full compliance and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with the Site Hygiene & Environmental Manager to develop cleaning instructions, risk assessments, and safe work systems.
* Lead daily huddle meetings to focus on health & safety, quality, and hygiene performance.
* Maintain accurate hygiene records and ensure all cleaning tasks are properly documented and signed off.
* Promote a strong food safety culture, ensuring adherence to hygiene rules, PPE requirements, and immediate reporting of any concerns.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within a hygiene team is essential; experience within food manufacturing is desired.
* Scissor lift training (desired but not essential).
* HACCP and COSHH experience.

* Computer literate and proficient in Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Able to juggle multiple tasks with deftness and attention to deadlines.
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
* MUST have a driver's licence and own transport, as public transport is not reliable for night shifts and travel between sites is necessary from time to time.
* Ability to work 4 on 4 off Night Shift patterns.
* Free on-site parking.
* Company pension scheme.
