Elevation Recruitment Group’s Technical Engineering division is currently working with a global, leading manufacturing business in their search for a Technical Manager in South Yorkshire.
The position centres around maximising the productivity and efficiency of a growing technical division, developing a range of business critical KPI's and taking on responsibility for the technical divisions projects / capex delivery. There is a highly competitive salary and excellent benefits package on offer for the right individual who can combine experience in technical leadership with a metals, metallurgy or material science background.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Group strategy and sharing knowledge and learnings for the technology roadmap, allocating technical resources to achieve outlined objectives.
* Driving and developing a wide range of technical business functions including the development of highly qualified teams.
* Ownership of key technical KPIs and project delivery.
* Utilising previous hands-on technical experience from challenging manufacturing fields to steer the growth of the division.
* Leading from the front, coaching, mentoring and developing your team to be customer centric and deliver the best customer experience.
* Active engagement and implementation of change management across the site.
* Supporting the department in the delivery of first-class service, products and technical knowledge.
Qualifications
* Degree educated.
* Previous experience working within a Technical lead or similar function at a senior leadership level.
* Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (preferably material, metals, chemistry, heavy engineering and/or metallurgy).
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to share knowledge amongst your peers, coach, mentor and develop your team.
* Self-motivated with an analytical approach and ability to problem solve.
