Senior Planner – Rail (Birmingham) • Location: Hybrid role – 2-3 days onsite. • Contract Type: Permanent (preferred), but open to contractors. • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our client's team, working on a major Birmingham Stations project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the successful delivery of rail infrastructure, collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders. Your Role: As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for: • Developing and managing project programmes, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives. • Reviewing and assessing contractor programme submissions in line with NEC requirements. • Managing NEC change control processes, identifying risks, and implementing solutions. • Overseeing monthly schedule reporting, ensuring clear and accurate project tracking. • Supporting project teams with P6 expertise, ensuring schedules remain efficient and realistic. • Communicating complex scheduling data in a clear, concise, and direct manner to various stakeholders. What We’re Looking For: • Proven experience in rail project planning, ideally within station developments, civils, and M&E works. • Expertise in Primavera P6, with the ability to analyse and optimise project schedules. • Strong understanding of NEC contract frameworks and change control processes. • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive and assertive individual, capable of working independently and within teams.
