We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to lead an innovative team in the Manufacturing & Distribution Department at the Welsh Blood Service (WBS). Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Welsh Blood Service to provide blood components to hospitals throughout Wales.
The Welsh Blood Service has an opportunity for a HCPC registered Senior Biomedical Scientist to work within the Manufacturing & Distribution Laboratory., The role will be in the Manufacturing & Distribution department and will involve working as a leader of a team to ensure the production and distribution of blood components and blood derived commercial products throughout Wales.
Leadership in the areas of competencies, training and quality is an important focus of this role and experience in these areas will be advantageous.
You will join a successful team and should bring a proactive problem solving attitude to the department.
Understanding of GMP and the ability to lead a team of various graded staff is central to this role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum.
