Job Description
About the Role
What do Coca-Cola, Play-Doh, Post-it, and the Microwave have in common? Their modern-day applications are results of accidental designs. Coca-Cola was intended as a medicine for headaches, and Post-it Notes were a failed attempt to develop a strong adhesive substance. But at the beginning of each journey is a creative Product Design Engineer with a vision.
In this role, you’ll be designing and developing state-of-the-art products within their niche, from concept to completion. You will have a level of creative freedom where the unusual or the unorthodox have their day in the sun. The products will have a number of different applications, so you’ll be kept on your toes as one size rarely fits all.
It's not a job that just anyone can do, just as the company isn’t looking for just anyone. They’re looking for an extension of their vision, mission, and goals, so what makes them tick will make you tick.
Qualifications
If you have a degree in Product Design, a minimum of 4 years of solid work experience, and experience working with a variety of materials used within the construction sector, then you’ll be gutted to miss this opportunity if you don’t apply with an updated CV.
This isn’t your typical Mechanical Design Engineer role, nor is it your typical Civil Design Engineering role. If this is the extent of your experience, then this role is unlikely to be right for you. But if you’re motivated to exercise your creative intellect and see your tangible product designs come to life, then what are you waiting for?
Working Conditions
This is a hybrid role based in Buckinghamshire, offering 2 days of WFH. Transport links are good, and there’s free car parking and EV charging points. You’ll get 25 days of paid annual leave, life assurance, private medical insurance, and enhanced pension contribution.
We expect a significant uptake on the role, and competition will be high, so please only apply if you have the experience described above. Apply today with an updated CV.
