About The Role
Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM (EKFB) are proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join us on the Twyford to Greatworth (T2G) section based in Brackley.
In this role you will provide support to the environment managers to deliver the HS2 contract requirements relating to environmental management. You will support the supply chain in delivering HS2 contractual requirements.
You will identify opportunities for implementing best practices and innovations to achieve cost and programme efficiencies and risk mitigation. You will also record achievements in best practice case studies.
You will be a main point of contact for project managers for geographic areas and support the environment managers in communications with external stakeholders in relation to HS2 environmental contract requirements, including consent granting bodies.
You will undertake assurance in accordance with EKFB management processes including document control, audit, non-conformance, surveillance inspections and incidents.
You will provide support in consultation with the project manager and commercial team to suppliers to ensure that sustainability data and reports and vehicle and plant use data is submitted on time each period, complete and accurate.
In addition, you will provide specialist advice to project managers for geographic areas in relation to HS2 contract environmental requirements, EKFB management processes, and any other legal requirements. Identify requirements and deliver training and awareness briefings to EKFB colleagues and suppliers.
About The Candidate
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, working towards IEMA practitioner level (or similar).
Excellent organisational skills.
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated and proactive.
Confident and eager to learn. Good communicator.
Ability to work within a team and be flexible.
Accuracy of work and attention to detail.
