Join a community that cares about you More about your role You lead the Assets & Investments (A&I) Finance department, ensuring robust financial governance, and oversee monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual business planning. As a key member of the Places for People Senior Leadership Team and Assets & Investment Senior Leadership Team, you work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and their team, providing strategic insights and supporting business plan delivery. Collaborating with the Group finance team, you help set strategic direction and achieve optimal outcomes for the Group. You ensure A&I meets all financial, regulatory, and statutory requirements efficiently, swiftly addressing any anomalies. You foster an inclusive culture, promoting professional development within a highly engaged Finance team, and drive continuous improvement projects. Partnering with the Director of Asset Knowledge and the Investment Director, you provide financial advice and modelling for key strategic decisions. You also maintain governance and controls for financial tools and data, collaborating to improve data accuracy and support timely, well-informed decisions. As our Finance department is primarily based in our Preston office, occasional travel will be required for team collaborations and meetings. But fear not – if you're ready to embark on this thrilling journey, we're open to a hybrid work model, allowing you flexibility to work from any of our other Places for People office locations on a hybrid basis (a mixture of office and home working) when you're not in Preston.
