Location: We have an opportunity for a Waste Resolution Jetting Technician to join our Customer Field Services department at Yorkshire Water. The role will be covering the Bradford, Huddersfield & Halifax areas and will be based at Esholt WwTW in Bradford. You will be required to travel to different operational sites across the region; Candidates should live within a 30 minute commuting distance from our Esholt wastewater treatment site.
Work type: This is a permanent opportunity working 37 hours per week. Working rotational work patterns on a 5-day basis, which may include late, early and weekend work patterns. Once fully trained, you will be expected to take part in an out of hours standby, therefore flexibility outside of working core hours is essential. You will need a full valid driving licence in addition to a LGV category C and ideally a DCPC qualification (no more than 6 points).

Where you fit in:
As our Waste Resolution Jetting Technician, you will:
* Work within a team to improve customer service and sewer system performance, ensuring a first-time fix solution for customers and the environment.
* Deliver a “first time fix” / same day solution to customer and environmental problems.
* Respond to Internal Flooding and Restricted Toilet Use (RTU) customer problems and complete thorough investigations.
* Maintain the sewers to prevent sewage escapes and ensure no repeats take place.
* Work closely with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners to resolve operational issues.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* A full valid driving licence in addition to a LGV category C licence, ideally with DCPC driving licence and digi card (No more than 6 points).
* Experience operating high-pressured jetting and vacuumation vehicles and carrying out manual handling duties.
* Previous experience in a customer service-related role with face-to-face communication.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with others to diagnose issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work within confined spaces, passing strict medical criteria.
All roles that require the driver to hold Licence entitlement C1 or above will be subject to the following:
* Initial Basic Standard Eyesight Assessment.
* Initial Driving Assessment using the category of vehicle required.
* Regular Basic Standard Eyesight Assessment.
You will have a flexible attitude to your work as you will be working a variety of rotas in the role to cover our working window.
It would be ideal to have previous jet van operation experience or experience driving liquid loads and a basic understanding of the sewer network although full training will be provided.
