Job Summary: The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations within 2G Energy Ltd. This includes managing the financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of financial management; including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable, to ensure optimal financial health.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
* Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and ensure timely completion of audits.
* Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.
* Develop and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
* Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Ideal Candidate:
* Degree or similar qualification in Accounting, ICAS or ACCA
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the energy/engineering industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
