On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Solution Architect for a 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) based Hybrid in Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Blackpool or Newcastle.
As a Solution Architect, you will work with external engineering teams to design, assure, deliver, and maintain IT products and services. Leveraging your deep technical knowledge and experience you will support and grow the technical architecture community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. You will blend technical knowledge, architecture and problem-solving skills, sharing your expertise across various technical domains while having in-depth experience in at least one specialisation.
As a Solution Architect you will:
1. Lead on ensuring high quality of technical design assurance, and adherence to enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps.
2. Engage with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Lead Solution Architects, and external engineering teams to implement the solutions according to agreed and approved architecture designs.
3. Make technology choices for products in conjunction with the enterprise architecture blueprint and product roadmap, contributing to the update of technology policies where appropriate.
4. Lead, deliver, and support technical design of a product or part of a shared platform to meet user needs and business objectives.
5. Utilize excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders.
6. Govern and review 3rd party technical infrastructure upgrades and bespoke application enhancement documentation.
7. Present technical solutions for Architecture Governance at Design Authorities.
8. Produce detailed Architecture design artifacts like Solution Design documents.
9. Demonstrate a broad skill set and understanding of Infrastructure components.
10. Exhibit strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
11. Actian Experience/Knowledge: Familiarity with Actian products such as Ingres and OpenROAD is highly desirable but not essential.
12. Accessibility Knowledge: Awareness of WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards and accessibility.
13. Public sector experience.
