We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Store Merchandise Planner focused on developing and managing category floorplans that align with store layouts, planning matrix, and merchandising strategies. The position involves collaborating with the Merchandising Development Manager, Director of Space, Range & Merchandising, Space Planning Manager, and Category teams to ensure optimal product placement and flow.
Key objectives include maximising sales per square foot, improving the customer shopping experience, and maintaining store efficiency and visual appeal. The role also supports strategic changes within business units to align with overall merchandising goals.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Store Ranging & Layout Design: Develop and execute store ranging plans that align with the overall store blueprint and planning matrix. Ensure effective placement of product categories and departments to drive sales and enhance the customer shopping experience. Adjust plans as needed based on store size, regional requirements, and customer demographics.
* Blueprint & Planning Matrix Maintenance: Develop store blueprints and planning matrix in line with strategic transformation changes preserving right space, right size by category, working closely with Merchandising Development Manager & Space Planning Manager.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Space Planning team, along with wider refit governance teams to ensure that store layout plans align with cluster assortment strategies and merchandising initiatives.
* Store Feedback: Accountable for store planning feedback ensuring this is managed effectively and in a timebound manner.
* Lead & Develop Merchandising Planning Assistants: Oversee the work of Store Merchandise Assistants to ensure final packs and ranging projects are executed accurately and on time. Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring adherence to company standards and timelines.
* CP Responsibilities: Align merchandising responsibilities with critical path timelines. Ensuring adherence to timescales & priorities to deliver the programme.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse sales data and space productivity to refine and improve layout planning decisions. Utilise reports on performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team of Store Merchandise Assistants. Identify potential gaps in resource to support strategic changes while working in conjunction with the Merchandising Development Manager. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.
