The Opportunity
Arup’s Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects effectively across our UK-based team offices. With an increasing pipeline of work, we are seeking an Air Quality Consultant to steer air quality projects, either as part of a multidisciplinary team or as standalone assignments. In this role, you will provide high-quality technical consultancy and advisory assistance to clients, conducting air quality assessments and preparing detailed reports. You will also contribute to business development efforts, including the creation of effective technical proposals to secure new contracts. You will be proficient in interpreting environmental guidelines, policies, plans, strategies, and legislative requirements, applying this knowledge to assess their relevance to projects and identify appropriate solutions. A proven track record in delivering air quality assessments for a diverse range of projects is essential. You will have strong skills in both writing and editing technical and non-technical reports. Collaboration with a variety of stakeholders is key to this role, and we are looking for someone with expertise across a wide range of air quality assessments, including industry, transport, development planning and odour. An interest in coding and digital skills, along with knowledge in conducting carbon assessments, is highly desirable.
This position can be based in our London, Edinburgh, Newcastle or Leeds offices.
