We are excited to share that we are seeking a dedicated and proactive College Ambassador to join our Student Services department, reporting to the Head of Centre. This is a part-time role (27.5 hours per week) on a fixed-term basis for the duration of the academic year. The salary for this position is £14,408.71 - £16,692.90 per annum.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive and safe learning environment across the college campus and surrounding areas.
You will support the college in making the learners feel safe by patrolling outside the college campuses and the local transport hubs. You will interact with and support our community in recognising the value of college and its positive impact on the town.
You will monitor student behaviour, enforce college policies, and address any issues that arise. Your presence will help to ensure that all students can learn in a respectful and orderly atmosphere.
You will spend most of the time outside of the college covering break and lunch periods as well as the end of day transfer to local transport links.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively. A background in education or security is advantageous, but above all, a commitment to the welfare and success of our students is essential.
To be successful, we are looking for people with outstanding communication skills, who have a flair for working with young adults in a supervisory role and are able to promote the positive work the college does with our stakeholders.
