Senior Fire Control Assurance Specialist

ScottishPower are hiring a Senior Fire Control Assurance Specialist to carry out site Fire Management documentation audits to meet our compliance with Fire Legislation.
What you'll be doing
You'll be tasked with collating findings from completed Fire Risk Assessments, provide recommendations, monitor progress of recommendations, provide documented evidence that recommendations from such assessments are followed through to completion. You may also be requested to complete Fire Risk Assessments at ScottishPower premises across all business areas.
Manage an established web portal system to track progress, provide monthly reports to Fire Control Manager, assist with Fire Legislation documentation and compliance audits whilst providing specialist advice to field based risk assessors.
Support post fire incident investigations and communicate with site managers on behalf of Fire Control Manager and provide legislative knowledge as required. Attendance at sites where Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans have been invoked.
Support the improvement of fire safety and quality assurance programmes and assist in projects of Fire Safety Management.
What you'll bring
We're looking for candidates with in-depth knowledge of Fire Legislation and demonstratable experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments and the coordination of Action Management. Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems and Technology.
We're looking for a proactive individual with problem solving skills, good IT skills (including databases) and excellent soft skills in stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and be highly organised.
Qualifications in Fire Management, NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire, Fire Risk Assessment (Level 4) are all advantageous.
This role will require travel to ScottishPower sites across the UK therefore an active full driving licence is necessary.
