The Role We are recruiting for 2 temporary Data Editors to support a new contract win for Envitia, supporting one of our public sector customers. The temporary roles require candidates to start on 20th November for around a 3 month contract. The Data Editors will work under the guidance of senior GIS staff to update and verify data layers using GIS Software, perform quality control on spatial data and raise issues with the data when identified. This role involves working with GIS software to ensure data accuracy. Training will be provided therefore no prior GIS knowledge is required but an interest in GIS and Geography is advantageous and is eager to develop further technical skills in a collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities Enter and update data from various sources into designated databases, systems, or spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy. Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and make corrections or updates as necessary. Ensure all data is recorded following established quality standards, maintaining the accuracy and reliability of information. Regularly communicate progress, issues, and updates to supervisors, ensuring tasks stay on schedule. Skills Required Basic IT Experience (including Excel and wider MS packages). Ability to interpret and use different types of data. Quick Learner. Understanding of using Desktop Application Software. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a small team. Self-driven to achieve targets. Good communications skills. Security Clearance Requirements The successful candidate will be required to go through a BPSS security clearance. Location The roles will be remote with travel to or Horsham offices when required.
