Commercial Heating Engineer London and Surrounding Counties. £40,000 - £55,000 per annum Marble Talent Group are actively recruiting for a Commercial Heating Engineer, responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial heating systems, including HIUs, within district heating communal or individual environments. This includes replacing thermostatic valves, pumps, radiators, and other associated components, as well as repairing or replacing pipework for both planned maintenance and reactive works. ________________________________________ Main Duties: Safety & Compliance: • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations. • Complete all safety and compliance documentation related to work activities. • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including risk assessments and method statements, and notify the company of any changes to processes. Technical & Operational: • Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances, boilers, and heating systems. • Perform safety inspections, servicing, and testing of gas systems in line with industry regulations. • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in gas appliances and heating systems. • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal system performance. • Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and health and safety standards. • Provide emergency repair services and respond promptly to breakdowns. ________________________________________ Personnel Specification: • Problem-solving skills • Experience: Similar role experience, including working for contractors, local authorities, housing associations, or facilities management companies. • Customer Service: Ability to build rapport and deliver excellent customer service. • Composure: Confident and calm under pressure with strong organisational skills. • Adaptability: Ability to prioritise and work effectively in high-pressure situations. • Out of Hours: Ability to participate in an on-call rota as part of a team. ________________________________________ Job Holder Requirements: • Education: GCSE or O-level qualification. • Experience: o Working with communal heating and hot water systems. o Familiarity with business PDA applications. o Experienced in the industry at a similar level. o Experience with document control. • Initiative: Ability to work independently and adopt a proactive approach. • Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence. ________________________________________ Job Holder Competencies: • Qualifications: NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating. • CSCS: In-date CSCS card relevant to the qualification. • Experience: o Servicing and maintaining commercial heating and hot water systems. o Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. • Health & Safety: Relevant knowledge of health & safety regulations within this sector. • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Communication: Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, especially residents in communal premises. • Focus on Safety & Quality: Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. ________________________________________ Benefits: • 28 days paid holiday (including statutory bank holidays). • Workplace pension scheme. • Training on all technologies and systems installed. ________________________________________ Working Hours: • 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), excluding a 30-minute meal break. • Working hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
