We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Team Manager to lead our Commissioned Placements team, playing a key role in shaping the future of services for children and young people. Job Summary:As the Children & Young People Commissioned Placements Team Manager, you will oversee the commissioning and management of placements for children and young people, ensuring each placement is suitable and meets high-quality standards. You’ll be responsible for implementing strategic planning, managing resources, and leading a team dedicated to providing effective placement solutions that respond to the diverse needs of children and young people. Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and develop a team responsible for assessing, commissioning, and monitoring placements for children and young people.Work collaboratively with social work teams, education, health, service providers, and external agencies to secure high-quality placements.Ensure placement services comply with statutory, regulatory, and safeguarding standards.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commissioned placements, implementing improvement plans as needed.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices to enhance service delivery.Manage budgets and resources effectively, aligning with organisational priorities.Act as the primary point of contact for complex placement cases, providing guidance and resolution strategies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the team delivers child-centered, cost-effective, and responsive services.
