Job summary We are recruiting for Band 6 Registered Mental Health Practitioners (Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) to join our team. The MH&LD Liaison Team provides assessments, advice, and reasonable adjustments for people with mental health needs and learning disabilities accessing treatment at St Mary's Hospital. We aim to improve the parity of care for people of all ages with mental health and learning disabilities in the acute hospital and work with their family and carers to ensure they have the best possible care and treatment. The MH&LD Liaison Team works across the full age spectrum and provides a 24-hour service across seven days of the week. Additionally, MH&LD Liaison Team collaborates with Ambulance service to support people with mental health needs and learning disabilities in the community through the Mental Health Rapid Response Vehicle service (MHRRV). Main duties of the job This position is suitable for a highly motivated, compassionate person who can work under pressure. We therefore welcome applicants with existing crisis and liaison experience but also those who have experience working with older adults, HTTs, CMHTs or mental health inpatients. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact at all levels. There will be opportunities for you to participate in the teaching and training of health professionals in ED, medical and surgical wards.
