The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clients with a variety of accounts and bookkeeping support. You will have a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., AAT or ICB Level 3 or above), with at least two years’ post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice. Duties (include but are not limited to) Posting invoices using accounting software Bank reconciliation Control account reconciliations Prepayments and accruals Chasing debtors Producing management accounts and analysis Preparing cashflow projections Participating in client cashflow meetings Preparing CIS returns Preparing VAT returns Preparing payrolls Updating fixed asset register Preparing year-end handover to the accountant Trial balance adjustments and journals Main point of contact for clients Person Specification Experience working as an Accounts Assistant, Accountant, Semi-Senior or Finance Assistant essential Experience working within an accountancy practice (or similar) strongly preferred AAT or ICB Level 3 or above (or working towards) desired Full UK driving licence with access to own transport essential due to location Will be aligned with the values of the business. Is self-motivated, proactive, and able to problem-solve. Shows an organised, planned approach to work and manages time effectively. Has excellent attention to detail and produces high-quality, error-free work, which is logical, clear, and accurate. Works well with online systems and adapts well to new software. Demonstrates strong communication skills, adapting the style and tone to suit the recipient, taking care of clients in a professional and friendly manner.
