Show, Events & Marketing Coordinator
John Deere is a leading supplier of agricultural and turf equipment, and we are seeking a Shows, Events and Marketing Coordinator at our Sales and Marketing Branch in Langar, Nottingham.
The Role
Primary responsibilities include the planning, coordination and execution of shows and events that support our Ag, Turf, Aftermarket business. This would include customer, dealer and employee events that are within the UK and Ireland along with supporting planning and execution of regional events. The role will include integrating our key marketing activities within our planned events and offering dealer support for marketing related enquiries.
The position reports to Chris Wiltshire, Tactical Marketing Manager and will be based at The UK branch, Langar, Nottingham.
What You’ll Do
1. Plan and deliver events to ensure that the events are produced according to schedule, within budget, and meet all deadlines, and work closely with, and coordinate activities of, all other parties involved in the design, development, sales, marketing, and delivery of the events.
2. Contribute to the generation of new ideas and topics for conferences and events; develop detailed proposals and business cases that support company marketing plans.
3. First point of contact for our dealership network to include regular meetings, creating and reviewing marketing materials.
4. Assist with the development of internal communications and work collaboratively with colleagues to build strong external customer relationships and meet customer needs.
5. Coordinated marketing activities using CRM tools.
6. Organising and attending all company events from around the UK and Europe.
7. Contribute to the development of tactical marketing campaigns.
8. Deliver project workstreams, carrying out specified project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodology.
9. Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
10. Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices.
11. Carry out supplier and contract management tasks to support advertising, promotion, and other marketing campaigns.
The Person
This is a fast-paced role which requires excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The successful candidate should be an organised individual as this role requires constant attention to ensure that all elements for a successful event are in place, ensuring shows and events are delivered to a high customer standard as well as being safe and within budget.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Relevant Work Experiences
1. Strong knowledge of information systems including Microsoft office, particularly with excel spreadsheets is essential along with JD internal systems and sites.
2. Customer/dealer interaction regarding products, parts and service 1-3 years.
3. Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
4. Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.

Major Purpose
Coordinates and/or develops, and implements promotional events for channel partners/customers designed to meet sales and marketing objectives defined by the unit.
Major Duties
1. Deliver specified outcomes and provide others with expert advice while working within established marketing programs.

5. Collate and summarize information for use in developing content and write first drafts of straightforward content for print or websites.
6. Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing communications campaigns across all media to support the business plan and increase sales.
7. Contribute to the development of tactical marketing campaigns.
