Job overview
A vacancy has arisen for a Trust Doctor (ST1 equivalent) in Paediatrics and Neonates based at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust at St Richards Hospital until August 2024 to cover a deanery vacancy.
The successful candidate will join the paediatric department at St Richard’s Hospital.

Main duties of the job
* Care of General Paediatric and Neonatal patients under consultant supervision
* Attendance at Paediatric and Neonatal emergencies as required
* Care of Paediatric Outpatients under consultant supervision
* Care of Child Assessment Unit and rapid referral patients
* Support and teaching of junior medical, nursing staff and medical students
* To engage in Continuing Professional Development and Audit as appropriate
* To engage with the Trust's appraisal and revalidation process
The post holder undertakes, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
Person specification
Education and Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
* APLS and NLS
* Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent
* Post graduate Certificate in teaching
