Livestock Driver Responsibilities: To safely transport and unload livestock ensuring high welfare standards and business protocols are followed To handle livestock calmly and humanely To safely operate livestock vehicles and equipment, driving with care and attention at all times Communicate with farmers to ensure efficient delivery and pick-up schedules To maintain a clean and highly presentable vehicle at all times, undertaking routine inspections and maintenance requirements when required To comply with industry-standard and transportation laws for the safe transportation of stock To complete all necessary supporting documentation, tachographs, and log books accurately and promptly Skills you will need as a Livestock Driver: Essential: A valid large vehicle license Category 1 Class C&E CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification A valid digital tachograph and card Proven experience in livestock handling and haulage A knowledge of animal welfare standards The ability to follow biosecurity protocols A good timekeeper with strong attention to detail Good communication skills Good physical fitness, capable of handling livestock safely Dedicated and professional with a strong sense of pride in the work undertaken Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings
